Some impressions and notes after attending the Bulldog Club meeting last night in Augusta, the third of nine stops on the spring tour around the state for Mark Richt:
--Think coaches can’t wait to get freshman defensive end Montez Robinson on campus? The No. 1 rated prospect from Indiana came to Athens during his spring break and Richt said the 6-foot-4 Robinson now weighs 260 pounds. “I hope he plays as good as he looks,” Richt said. Redshirt freshman Cornelius Washington, who missed the spring with a shoulder injury, now has 245 pounds on his 6-4 frame.
--The drive to Augusta is a piece of cake compared to dealing with the drive into metro Atlanta to hear Richt speak there.
--One benefit of the expansion of the Tate Student Center on campus, Richt said, is that the football program will host recruits there on gameday nearby Sanford Stadium.
